Workflows for Confluence - July 2023

We’re delighted to announce the July 2023 update to Workflows for Confluence Cloud has just been released.

New features 💎

• We have released further improvements to our new official versioning feature

  • In the Workflow Builder, it is now easier to see that the Create Official Version node and the Approve Official Version node should be used in conjunction

  • Confluence users can now decide whether they would like to keep editing the current draft official version or create a new official version when transitioning through the Create Official Version workflow node

  • Users can now create an official version on behalf of other users

  • Official versions cannot be created without a version description provided

• In the Workflows Approvers Metadata macro, we added a new option called Latest Approvers for Current Workflow

Bug fixes 🐛

• Time-based expiration to the previous status will now transition to the correct logic node (“status”)

• The Workflows Manager table remains on the correct page after a workflow has been edited

• When exporting source pages to a PDF, the metadata macros now display correctly

• Workflow macros on published pages which copy source values now correctly export to PDF

• For a workflow with an initial status having a page expiration with the option 'Stay on Current Status', expiry emails will now correctly only trigger once per expiry period

• Space search now returns all spaces on the Search page as well the Publish Content action

• Released a security patch to address any emerging vulnerabilities
