Type of Update | NEW FEATURES BUG FIXES IMPROVEMENTS |
We’re delighted to announce the January 2024 update to Workflows for Confluence has just been released.
New features 💎
Exclude user roles from approvals - It is now possible to exclude a role (page creator, author of the latest edit, official version owner, or page owner) from being able to carry out an approval. To learn more, please take a look at our Logic user guide
Improvements 🛠️
Improvements to wording on the Approval Token pages
If a user tries to create an Approval Token but they have chosen to not receive emails from Workflows, the user will be given clear instructions on how to enable emails again so that they can receive the verification email required for the creation of an approval token
Bug fixes 🐛
Fixed a vulnerability that was discovered as part of our participation in Atlassian’s Bug Bounty Program. This was related to the removal of workflows from Confluence pages
Official version descriptions on published pages now display the correct version descriptions
Previously, if users chose to define their approval quorum size per group, and they added additional user groups which were left on the default value of 1, the quorum size did not save correctly for these user groups. This has now been fixed and the default values save as expected
We noticed and resolved an issue related to the time-based expiry of pages. All pages are now expiring as expected.
Note: There may be several pages impacted by this problem and these will now be displayed as expired
If an instance has a user group whose name is part of another group’s name (e.g. user-group and $user-group), we now choose users from the correct group when setting approvers
If a page and its child pages are moved using the inbuilt Confluence functionality, the workflow applied to all moved pages will persist even when moved to a different space
Updating to the latest version: this update has been automatically applied to Workflows for Confluence, so no action is required from you.
