Exporting Workflows Macros
There are three main methods of exporting Workflows macros:
Confluence’s native export to PDF
Confluence’s native export to Word
K15t’s Scroll PDF Exporter for Confluence app
In general we recommend using either the export to Word functionality or K15t’s Scroll PDF Exporter app. This is due to limitations with the native export to PDF functionality, which are covered in detail below.
Overview of current capabilities
The table below displays the current capabilities of Workflows macros.

Known limitations
When exporting pages with the larger macros using Confluence’s native export to PDF functionality, there is a known limitation on Atlassian’s side. This impacts macros which store significant amounts of information, such as the Document Control Table Macro with many rows of data. This issue has been recognised by Atlassian as a bug, and it leads to the PDF being generated prematurely without the necessary Workflows data.
Instead of relying on the native export to PDF functionality, we suggest using either the export to Word functionality, or K15t’s Scroll PDF Exporter app, with both solutions reliably generating the expected export.
