Automation Rules

The Automation Rules feature supports data governance by carrying out automated actions whenever sensitive data is detected in your Confluence instance.

Automated actions currently include:

  • CLASSIFY: Applying a classification level (and sub-level optionally) on a page

  • LABEL: Applying a custom Confluence label on a page

  • EMAIL: Notify individual users and groups of sensitive data detection via email

  • REDACT: Remove/hide sensitive data and optionally delete the page version triggering the redaction

    • Note, old page versions containing sensitive data will not be cleared from the page history. Only the page version which triggered the redaction will be deleted, if you configure this when setting up the redaction automation rule. This allows you to prevent sensitive data from being introduced into your Confluence pages, but any already introduced sensitive data across your historic page versions are not affected
