Getting Started
Approvals for Confluence is an app that integrates a simple but intuitive review and approval tool straight into Confluence pages. For many teams, the approval process is an essential part of the document creation process and the solution doesn’t need to be overcomplicated. This page will give you a walkthrough of the key features.
Once you have installed Approvals for Confluence it’s ready to go so let’s show you how to add your first approval to a Confluence page.
Submit a Confluence Page for Approval
Approvals for Confluence is active across all Confluence pages. There are two options for submitting content for approval in Confluence; an entire page, or a section within the page. For this example, we will show you how to submit an entire Confluence page.
When the content is ready to submit, simply click the Add Approval button in the byline and this will open a dialog window.
Page Approvals can only be set up for the 'page' content type.
Configure your Approval Settings
In this dialog window you can select your review team and configure your approval setup. It’s important to note that you can set up Approval Teams which will save time when choosing reviewers.
Once you are happy with your settings, click Save and your approval has been added to the Confluence Page. Note: if you have enabled email notifications, your reviewers will be notified that the Confluence page is waiting for their review.
Manage your Confluence Pages and their Approvals
You can use the Approvals Search feature to find pages that are pending approval or those that have been reviewed. This is a quick and easy way to keep updated on the review and approval progress of your content in Confluence.
