New features 💎

  • Page Classification Admin Dashboard – Visual and data-driven insights into classifications across your Confluence instance

  • Actions in Sensitive Data Search – Users can now take the following actions for each detected data entry:

    • Redact the data directly on the page

    • (Admin only) Exclude the data from detection

    • (Admin only) Exclude the associated page from detection

  • On-Page Redaction – Users can now redact detected data directly from the sensitive data results modal on a given page

  • Exclude Page from Sensitive Data Results – Admins can now exclude a specific page from appearing in sensitive data results directly from the sensitive data results modal on any page

Improvements 🛠️

  • New Compliance Banner UI – Moves the classification level lozenge and sensitive data results button into a unified Compliance banner at the top of your Confluence pages

    • Displays the classification level directly on space home pages

    • Shows the count of sensitive data detections on each Confluence page

    • Allows classification levels to be set directly within the page editor

    • Clearly communicates configuration statuses (e.g., when features are disabled and why), sub-levels, and app access

    • Introduces a new button linking directly to the Compliance app, providing easy access to key tools such as the Classification search

  • Hierarchy-based Classification Admin Bypass – Confluence admins can now override hierarchy-based classification restrictions, allowing them to lower a page's classification level when needed

  • Infrastructure Upgrade – Behind-the-scenes improvements to handling page events (pages created, edited, moved, etc.) to enhance app stability and reliability

Bug fixes 🐛

  • Data detection scans now support pages created or updated by anonymous Confluence users

Removals 🔥

  • Removes the ‘Set Classification Level’ primary action on Confluence pages. Users can set a classification level using the level lozenge present at the top of the Confluence page.

  • Removes the ‘Add to Excluded Page’ primary action on Confluence pages. Admin users can exclude a page from data detection via the detection results modal, accessed by clicking the detections lozenge at the top of the Confluence page.

Updating to the latest version: this update has been automatically applied to Compliance for Confluence Cloud, so no action is required from you
