Service Update: the Optro marketplace, Approvals for Trello & Matrix for Trello are shutting down

We're announcing the upcoming shutdown of two of our services: Approvals for Trello and Matrix for Trello, as well as the Optro marketplace for Trello power-ups.

Key Dates

• June 1st 2025

  • We will stop accepting new signups.

  • All active subscriptions will be canceled automatically—you will no longer be billed for either app.

• August 1st 2025

  • Both apps will be turned off permanently.

  • You will no longer be able to access Approvals for Trello or Matrix for Trello, and the Optro marketplace will no longer exist.

We recommend all users begin transitioning to alternative solutions as soon as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you shutting down the apps?
We’ve made the difficult decision to sunset these services in order to focus on new directions and opportunities. It wasn’t an easy call, but it’s the right one for our long-term vision.

Will I be charged again?
No. As of June 1st 2025, all paid subscriptions will be canceled, and no further charges will be made.

What happens to my data?
We recommend exporting or saving any critical data before August 1st 2025, as the apps will no longer be accessible after that date. Any data stored on our servers will be securely deleted shortly thereafter.

Can I still sign up or re-subscribe before August 1?
No. Signups and reactivations will be disabled starting June 1st 2025.

Do you recommend any alternatives?
While we don’t officially endorse specific tools, we encourage exploring other Trello Power-Ups or third-party integrations that offer approval workflows or project prioritization.
